I've been really impressed recently with Mike Herbert's online guitar lessons. The quality of the videos is excellent and he has a nice down to earth teaching style that makes you feel right at home. His use of the split screen is well thought out and lets you see both is picking technique and fretboard work in real time which is both innovative and effective.
Mike's recently been putting a lot of his lessons on youtube.com and I thought you might find his new series on "Classical Gas" handy to have in one location. It's a five part series broken down into lessons around 10 minutes in length so its easier to digest.
If your not so interested in classical then check out his website, www.6-string-videos.com for some classic rock/blues lessons. Mike also has a cool new product called 20 Easy Strumming Songs For Guitar in which he teaches you some fantastic crowd pleasing songs using his renowned teaching method.
Classical Gas Lesson One
Classical Gas Lesson Two
Classical Gas Lesson Three
Classical Gas Lesson Four
Classical Gas Lesson Five
Classical Gas Lesson Six
Classical Gas Lesson Seven (NEW!)
We'll add the rest in the series as soon as they are posted.
