Fretpoint.com is a Digg style, community driven news aggregator dedicated to guitarists and musicians
You may have noticed things have been a little quieter than usual over the last month or so on LearnTheGuitarNow.com. This is because we have been hard at work creating a great new website called Fretpoint. Fretpoint.com is a Digg style, community driven news aggregator dedicated to guitarists and musicians.

It's mission is to collect and organize guitar and music related content from across the web while letting the community vote for the best articles, news and lessons so they rise to the top of their categories. We hope the site will be embraced by the guitar community as this type of site has a lot to offer guitarists and musicians across the globe.

Why not get started today and register with Fretpoint.

Want your own custom radio station?

Wednesday, February 13, 2008 | Trackback

As a web designer as well as a guitarist I'm always finding great social media websites but unfortunately few are really relevant for guitarists. However recently I've come across a great social internet radio website called Jango.

You simply type in an artist - and Jango creates a custom radio station that starts playing right away. You'll get the music you want, along with similar favorites of Jango users who share your taste. You can easily add more artists and also rate songs that you want to play more or less.

The site is a pleasure to use and despite the track selection being glitchy on occasions (it is in beta after all) it was great to be able to listen to the artists I wanted to. All you eighties rock fans can check out my Jango radio station if you want a blast from the past.
