6 String Videos Review
This website is run by Mike Herbert and has a lot to offer the learner guitarist even if you don't decide to purchase any of the courses available. I have based this review on the free materials on offer ( video lessons, tablature and other free gfts) and although I haven't purchased any of the main courses I have been on Mike's email list for long enough to appreciate the quality of his video tutorials.
At time of writing this review you'll get free access to around 23 video lessons that are gradually unlocked over a period of time. You get the choice of unlocking content faster by paying a small fee but I was generally satisified with how quickly I was emailed the next guitar lesson.
Some of the online guitar lessons cover basic techniques such as chords, fingerpicking and spanish guitar but a lot of the free videos cover popular songs such a,s "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix, "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton and "Message in a Bottle" by The Police. I have to admit whilst it doesn't have the gloss of websites such as Lick Library and Video Guitar Lessons, Mike has a nice informal style which reminds me of some of the better guitar tutors I've gone to and he certainly knows his stuff.
I'd recomend this site as more of a compliment to one of the other courses I've reviewed as they tend to be more comprehensive but its well worth a visit and make sure you sign up for the free lessons.
