Lick Library Review
I've been meaning to get around to reviewing this site for some time as it really does rock! Lick Library is from Total Accuracy who you may know as the company who make those high quality JamTrax/Tablature CD books. Its an excellent pedigree and you know that the tuition your going to get here will be second to none.
If you read guitar techniques magazine then you'll recognise some of the instructors. Guthrie Govan, Phil Hilborne and Dave Kilminster are always superb and widely acclaimed for both their talent and teaching ability. Although I didn't recgnise some of the instructors like Richard Barrett and Danny Gill, when I watched their video lessons I was equally impressed.
I particularly enjoyed the LickLibrary TV station which before you even become a member is available for you to view samples. So you know what your going to get before you even buy.
This is primarily a membership site with membership costing £1.50 ($3.00) per week. This gives you access to (and the ability to download) over 200 Jamtrax and video lessons. You'll also get a discount on over 10,000 guitar tuition products.
Noteworthy additions are video reviews of guitars and amps such as Stuart Bull's PRS Custom 22 (man I wish I had one of those!) which are a nice touch.
I think this is one of those sites that you'll benefit more from once you have reached a certain level ( i.e. you can play chord progressions at a good speed and at least know the pentatonic blues scale) and you may want to check out Jamorama first if your an absolute beginner.
